Food Lifeline is one of the Sequim Food Bank’s most vital partners.
This recent post from their site links to three very interesting articles about hunger and hunger relief – I found the study that illustrates the relationship between commute time/distance and ability to rise from poverty to be particularly interesting, especially considering the high percentage of people who commute “in” to Sequim for their low-wage retail and service positions.
Food Lifeline provides the Sequim Food Bank (and more than 200 other food banks and meal programs around the state) with no-cost and low-cost food every week of the year. Last year, Food Lifeline provided more than 36,000 pounds of food to the Sequim Food Bank.
Thank you, Food Lifeline!
