The safety of our community, visitors, and volunteers is our top priority. After much discussion, and taking the recommendations of our emergency food partners and WSDA, the Sequim Food Bank will shift to an emergency food distribution process.
Beginning Friday, March 20, we will distribute pre-packed emergency food bags. Visitors will drive-up, or walk-up, and receive non-perishable food, fresh produce, milk, eggs, bread, and a meat.
We will close our parking lot to parking, and visitors will be guided through the distribution process by our volunteers.
If you are in a vehicle, please remain in your car and volunteers will place pre-packed food bags into your vehicle for you.
At this time, we are asking visitors to use the Food Bank every other week to ensure our inventory remains well stocked.
We have enough food so please pick a time to come that works for you. Don’t cause a traffic jam by coming early. At this time, our distribution schedule will remain the same:
- Mondays from 1pm – 4pm
- Fridays from 9am – 12pm
- Saturdays from 9am – 12pm
Finally, a note about donations. At this time we cannot accept community food donations. For this reason, monetary donations are highly needed. A donation can be made here.
We will keep you updated by posting on our Facebook page. Please check there for most up-to-date Sequim Food Bank information.
We understand that this is not normal and things are going to be hard. Remember we are all working on this together so please be patient with us. Stay calm and wash your hands!
